First Aid Training
When: Saturday and Sunday (Specific date TBD)
Where: St John’s Ambulance
Want to learn how to potentially save a life? 808 is looking to train any and all cadets interested in getting first aid certified. Please express your interest by signing up for ONE course. Sign up here! Sign in to Cadet365 to access the form.
Hike and Kayak
When: May 25, 2024
Time: 0840 – 1400 hrs
Where: Rocky Point Park, 2800 Murray St, Port Moody
Dress: Swimsuit & Towel (recommended) and Appropriate Civilian Attire
Do you like walking up mountains or paddling in lakes? 808 will be having a Hike and Kayak day. Priority will be given to PL 1/2s, if there are additional spots, it will be on a first come first serve basis. Sign up here.
Mess Dinner
When: June 11, 2024
Time: 1645 – 21:45 hrs
Drop-off/Pick-up: Maillard Middle School
Dress: C1A or Appropriate Formal Attire
Mess dinner is an event that is held at the end of every cadet year to celebrate the successes of the training year over a nice dinner. Sign up here for a night of good food and fun entertainment!
Summer Gliding
When: July 23, 2024
Time: 1730 – 2100 hrs
Where: Pitt Meadows Airport
Dress: Appropriate Civilian Attire
Have you ever flown in an aircraft with no engine? Here is your chance! In July, 808 will have gliding sessions in the evening. Sign up here.
Cadet365
Still don’t have Cadet365 yet? You are missing out! Cadet365 is required for summer training and participation in area-directed activities. Cadet365 also offers all cadets with access to Office365 on their personal devices. See this link for onboarding instructions. Send us an email if you need your cadet email and temporary password for first-time log ins.
Routine Training
Drop-off: On Rochester Ave at 1815 hrs. Please do not enter the parking lot as it creates congestion and presents a hazard for our cadets. Enter through the gym doors.
Pick-up: On Rochester Ave at 2130 hrs.
Dress: Winter. If your uniform does not fit, wear the blue squadron t-shirt or white dress shirt with black pants, or FTUs.
Bring: a notebook, pens, a filled water bottle, and a snack if desired
